ROLE PURPOSE

As a Decommissioning Engineer, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations &

engineering activities related to the decommissioning processes, with a particular focus on

perform assessment of the asset and multidisciplinary tasks associated to the preparation,

execution and close out of the Decommissioning scope. Your expertise in Project Management

and operations principles and procedures will be instrumental in ensuring that the

decommissioning design and strategy are effectively translated into comprehensive plans,

documents, and actions. This role demands a keen ability to prioritize activities that align with

environmental and safety standards, facilitating progress to meet key decommissioning

milestones. Your contribution will directly influence the successful adherence to global

decommissioning standards.

ROLE CONTRIBUTION

1.In order that assigned activities are completed successfullyYOU ARE TO:

1.1. High level of commitment with SBM core values and safety culture

1.2. Strong ability to engage with different stakeholders, including offshore crew, while setting and negotiating priorities

1.3. Lead the planning, implementation and the timely completion of specific tasks, as assigned by the Decommissioning Manager, in accordance with both the contractual and SBM internal requirements.

1.4. Accurately plan and execute tasks within agreed timelines, focusing on the broader decommissioning process and specific responsibilities around perform assessment of the asset with focus on high safety standards

1.5. Develop and support the creation of documentation that clearly communicates and complies with decommissioning scope and associated standards.

1.6. Provide critical review and support in the formulation of decommissioning documents, ensuring all engineering designs and plans are in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

1.7. Coordinate 3 rd parties scopes ensuring they are integrated into the decommissioning strategy and executed according to international and local regulations.

1.8. Facilitate HAZID / HAZOP sessions on decommissioning processes, to foster a culture of safety and compliance. 2

1.9. Assist in the development of the Decommissioning Execution Plan, ensuring it encompasses comprehensive strategies, including POB management and existing regulations.

2. In order toachieve effective interfacemanagement, YOU ARE TO:

2.1. Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of decommissioning requirements across all project phases.

2.2. Ensure Alignment withSustainability Strategy: Serve as the key liaison between the global sustainability team and the decommissioning team, ensuring that all decommissioning activities are aligned with the company’s sustainability goals and policies.

3. In order tocontribute to the success of managing changes, YOU ARE TO: Apply and adapt to changes in decommissioning practices, whilst prioritizing project milestones and deliverables.

4. In order toensure the quality of engineering deliverables, YOU ARE TO:

4.1. Be self-motivated to improve technical competencies for current and future work assignments

4.2. Promote continuous improvement within the Discipline by maintaining/sharing the latest industry developments

4.3. Ensure activities are completed with consistency and in compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations

4.4. Apply and capture applicable lessons learned in the execution of activities to enable information sharing, increase project efficiencies, and support/develop best practices

4.5. Ensure work is organized and documented in a manner to support the intent of design for easy understanding by others

4.6. Ensure proper level of checks for all deliverables prior to submission; avoid cutting corners

Job requirements

Degree, preferably in Mechanical, Naval or Chemical Engineering, Engineers in general.

Experience in FPSO Operations & project management and knowledgeable in FPSO systems

& typical decommissioning scopes; Understanding of International conventions and regulations

related to ship recycling as well as HazMat requirements would be a plus
