Job Description

Wood is recruiting for a Project Developer to join its Energy Assets & Technology team focusing on solar, wind and storage projects. This is an opportunity to join one of the Italian most established renewable energy Project Development teams and help develop renewable energy assets. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role
The Project Developer will support the Project Development team across the full development lifecycle of utility-scale grid connected solar and wind projects, in addition to innovative technology solutions such as battery storage and green hydrogen, from greenfield prospecting to construction-ready status. The candidate will engage with external stakeholders such as landowners, government bodies, Transmission System Operator (TSO) and engineering designers, in addition to internal stakeholders, liaising with planning, legal, finance and administrative teams.

Responsibilities

Conducting site surveys and pre-assessment evaluation of proposed area for the installation of renewable power plantsDeveloping new wind / solar business opportunities, focusing on innovative solutions (agro-photovoltaic power plants)Assisting Development team in negotiation of contracts with landowners and host community agreements with MunicipalitiesManaging relationships with stakeholders involved with the development process (statutory bodies, grid operator, internal departments, subcontractors, law firms)Evaluating economic viability of projects (cost estimate and financial model) Evaluating integration of battery energy storage system with renewable power projects under developmentWriting detailed technical/administrative documents for permit applications   Reviewing all project documentation prepared by internal departments and external consultantsUsing computer modelling software to assess energy production of projects and to design preliminary layout 

Qualifications
