Project Overview:

Join us as we make history at theHanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant.We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges,our communityprovides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will coordinate development and author project reporting including cross-functional input, compiling information received, status input, incorporating into reporting deliverables, and reviewing for quality. You will assist in basic cost control, schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and programs. Your attention to detail and support will be key to project success.

Full-Time Telework: Full-Time or Part-Time Telework: This position is a full-time role that offers full-time or part-time telework in accordance with current business requirements and works a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. This position requires periodic travel to the Richland, Washington project office. Relocation is available; if relocation is selected, the candidate will be designated as part-time telework and be required to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Major Responsibilities:

• Understands cost estimating, variance analysis and Estimate to complete to analyze information received for reporting, as directed
• Understand schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring of schedule activities, to analyze information received for reporting, as directed
• Assists in preparing cost/schedule data and provide analysis for reporting
• Responsible for preparing/assisting in all Monthly Reports and contract deliverables
• Understand all aspects of Earn Value Management for Project Controls with emphasis on Reporting
• Assists with reporting cost/schedule information for specific disciplines or group of disciplines, as directed
• Gathers and verifies data on schedule, work force, and quantities to update and status discipline or specialty progress and performance reports
• Understands scope-specific schedules for easy integration into the total project reporting following established project procedures/practices
• Understands the process for developing discipline level work logics in support of overall project schedule reporting
• Assists with reporting progress relative to established milestones for total project or major portions of the project
• Understands the Project Risk process and risk analysis for project reporting, metrics, and presentations

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
• Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
• Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Cobra and Primavera.
• Knowledgeable in basic earned value management terminology and methods.
