1 – Job environment
§The role of the Principal power system design engineer is to bring innovation and thought leadership to End Users and our Channel partners – Design Consultants, Panel Builders and Contractors for Segment applications.
§In close collaboration with the Project leader and Segment leaders, the technical leader will :
oEngage high level discussions with Customers/Partners to capture expressed and unexpressed requirements.
oConvert those requirements in power systems architectures magnifying Schneider Electric catalogue strengths.
§Support our customer with high level expertise inpower systems, protection plan (HV/MV/LV), power automation and monitoring.
§Provide technical material and segment inputs to EcoStruxure power solutions.
2 – Application knowledge’s
§Possess good knowledge on the process associated with Heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining / Metals Industries, and ability to lead technical discussions directly with Customers to capture actual application needs.
§Understand Customer’s key performance indicators, constraints, operation, roles & responsibility in their respective industrial applications.
§Knowledgeable aboutGreen initiativesin the market, such asGreen H2.
§Must have High, Medium and Low Voltage system design and execution knowledge for Heavy industrial applications such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining / Metals Industries.
§Carry out preliminary engineering design in accordance with local codes or relevant international design codes.
3 – Power systems expertise
§Contribute to the definition of optimized and competitive HV/MV/LV power systems architecture based on Schneider Electric catalogue.
§Build appropriate reference architectures, technical materials and documentations to promote Schneider Electric solutions emphasizing on differentiation and customer benefits.
§Knowledge in power systems engineering (network simulation, protection, power electronics conversion (UPS/DC Charger), power quality, reliability)
§Ability toValue Engineerthe customer solutions with the focus on overall Electrical Architecture.
§Very good knowledge of Schneider Electric offers (MV/LV Equipment, UPS, monitoring & control, relays)
4 – Training deployment
§In close collaboration with the project leader and the segment leader contribute to the definition of training plan
§Conduct F2F or Webinar Training session and lead Technical topics.
5 – Business support
§Upon request from segment, organize and deliver technical support to sales and execution teams.
§Ability to engage customers at C-Level

EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
§10+ years’ experience in Electrical Power System design engineering studies with a strong consulting background
§Experience in leading Electrical design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining / Metals Industries will be an advantage
§Experience in Green initiatives in the market, especially onGreen Hydrogenis a major advantage.
§Good exposure to Power System studies software such as ETAP.
§Familiar with project business model and exposure to working with Channel partners (Design Consultants, Panel Builder and Contractors)
§Familiar with direct engagement with customers
§Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
§Master’s degree in Power Systems engineering is a plus
Qualifications
§10+ years’ experience in Electrical Power System design engineering studies with a strong consulting background
§Experience in leading roles for design of commercial, industrial and healthcare projects will be an advantage
§Good exposure in Power System studies software.
§Familiar with project business model and exposure to working with Channel partners (Specifier, Panel Builder and Contractors)
§Very good knowledge of Schneider Electric offers
§Familiar with direct engagement with customers
§Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
§Master’s degree in electrical engineering is a plus
