Wood is recruiting for a Lead Subsea Hardware Engineer to join the team to support projects within our Technical Consulting Division. This role will be based in our Staines office with some hybrid working available on a contract basis.

The Role
 
As a Lead Subsea Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of subsea hardware systems for offshore oil and gas projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality subsea hardware solutions.
The role offers a senior position in a highly visible and motivated team, with the opportunity to be part of a group with ambitious plans for further growth.

Responsibilities

If all of this sounds good to you, review the typical responsibilities of the role and the requirements below, then follow the link to apply and start your journey with Wood.Typical Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FA, Flowline and Riser, control system engineers, integrity management to ensure seamless integration of subsea system into overall project system designsSubsea engineering support as requiredAchieving project completion to the project activity on scheduleProviding sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the disciplinePrepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans and reports when requiredDirecting and assisting with the development of specification of subsea hardware for subsea production systems, including the testing requirements of such systemsDirecting and assisting with the performance of design / concept & engineering of the project solutionsDirecting and assisting in development of testing, operation and maintenance proceduresAttend Factory Acceptance Site Integration Tests of new equipment on Contractor’s premises when needed; in addition, coordinating the work of contractors employed to design, manufacture, and test subsea equipmentParticipating in Safety Reviews/HAZOP, Environmental Impact Assessments and Risk AssessmentsEngage in vendor management when requiredEnsure that the project conforms to appropriate safety standards and carries all necessary safety assessmentsInteract with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them
