Wood is recruiting for a Lead Installation Engineer to join the team focusing on subsea projects within our Technical Consulting Division. 

 

This role will be based in our Staines office with hybrid working available; however, we recognise the value of remote working so are open to applications throughout the UK.

The Role 

  

The Lead Installation Engineer will focus on installation methodology and analysis for subsea pipelines and other subsea facilities, such as manifolds, protection structures, risers, cables and umbilicals; the analysis will be performed as part of the delivery of our projects across the globe for oil and gas, hydrogen and carbon capture service.  

  

The ideal candidate will have a sound technical understanding of standard industry installation analysis programs (OrcaFlex, etc) and modelling the installation of subsea pipelines and other facilities as described above. The ability to write coherent reports and communicate effectively with clients and project management is an essential part of this role.

If all of this sounds good to you, review the typical responsibilities of the role and the requirements below, then follow the link to apply and start your journey with Wood.   Typical Responsibilities  Provide specialist technical support to projects including but not limited to:  Developing methodology, acceptance criteria, boundary conditions for offshore installation engineering design   Performing static and dynamic installation analysis of subsea pipelines and other subsea facilities, such as manifolds, protection structures, risers, cables and umbilicals Review and/or verification of offshore contractor installation engineering deliverables Provide installation input to other project deliverables including field layouts, method statements, etc Provide pro-active technical leadership in all aspects of installation engineering.
