Project Operations Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main component of process automation projects is a control system that monitors, controls, regulates and visualizes industrial processes. As Project Lead Engineer you will be responsible for drawing up the design specifications, engineering, programming, testing and commissioning of application software for process control systems. You will be mainly accountable for: • Working on large-scale (inter)national projects, which are executed with our own product line, with which ABB has the number 1 position in the field of installed DCS systems. • After a tailor-made training program provided by ABB University, be deployed on a project basis in process automation projects. You will work in a team with a Project Manager. • Acting as the technical hub of our projects, liaising with customer and developers. • Translating requirements and wishes of the customer into an automation solution, and make a functional and technical design. • Design and program , together with fellow Application Engineers, application software for DCS systems. • Supervising the acceptance tests and functional testing. • Depending on the size of the project, leading a team of application engineers. • In addition to project work, you may also be seconded to one of our clients. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• Knowledge of and experience with modern server systems, PLC and DCS systems, virtualization.
• Preferably holding a Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Electrical engineering knowledge in order to estimate technical problems correctly.
• A service-oriented attitude and you can empathize with the situation of the customer and your colleagues.
• You have several jobs going at the same time and therefore you need to be able to prioritize and switch quickly when the situation demands it.
• Ambitious and driven and you have the will to develop yourself further.
• Enthusiastic, stress resistant and a real team player.
• Experience with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is taken for granted. Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Good command of the Dutch, French and English languages.
