Job Summary:

The project manager (Abbr. PM below) reports Solid Line to Emerson Process Management (Abbr. EPM below) China ISW Ops. Leader. The PM will supervise and ensure the smooth implementation and completion of customer ISW projects. This role will ensure that Project Management operations are carried out effectively and efficiently, meeting, or surpassing customer requirements and adhering to project timelines. The PM takes project role in project execution and team management role (if necessary) in departmental operation at same time to accomplish all aspects’ goals and objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead multiple Industrial Software Solutions Projects to meet and/or exceed customer’s specifications, project timeline, financial goals, and quality standards.
• Ensure achievement of profit margin forecast for the given projects.
• Serve as an adaptable focal point of contact for customer, supplier, and internal collaborators for assigned projects.
• Ensure the project scope includes all work required, to complete the project successfully.
• Coordinate the purchase of equipment, material and services in a timely and efficient manner based on the contractual schedule and project specifications.
• Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to risks that are likely to affect the projects.
• Ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information.
• Ensure good project management standards and practices are always implemented, including material procurement, project implementation phase, up to the successful commissioning of the project at customer site.
• Responsible for estimating and securing adequate and competence resources for each project.
• Handle subcontractor schedules, quality-of-work and releasing of payment based on actual completion of subcontractor’s scope of work.
• Identify and resolve changes across the entire project and negotiation of change order with customers/suppliers.
• Ensure implementation of timely and accurate cost tracking mechanism of project costs.
• Responsible for project status, performance and forecasting reporting to the management/customer.
• Ensure timely completion and close-out of project based on contractual requirement, including resolution of any open items.
• Ensure accurate and efficient cost estimation for major systems project pursuit.
• Ensuring focus on understanding customer demands and solving of customer problems to improve customer satisfaction.
• Provide sales support on both engineering and commercial issues for ISW projects.
• Handle and monitor the execution of ISW programs for key accounts.
• Continuous improvement of existing project management practices/processes to improve efficiency and profitability.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor or above any equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Control or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of validated experience in process control industry and project management.
• Experience leading complex mega projects (contact value > $2M) is required.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required.
• Familiar with Industrial software project execution, such as Digital Twin, Alarm Management, Control loop performance, SBC, or MES etc.,
• Good presentation skills in English verbally and in-written.
• Shown leadership skills with strong communication, interpersonal and planning skills at all levels.
• Ability to adapt project management tools and processes to best serve business objectives.
• Ability to collaborate with and influence technical staff.

• Previous experience with team management.
• Previous experience with Emerson Industrial Software or AspenTech products.
