THE ROLE

The role ofGroup Process Safety Specialistconsists in:

• PSM Framework management (IOGP based): Development of corporate standards, support on procedures implementation and assessments on effectiveness of process and procedures (audits, internal verifications).
• Solid knowledge and experience on Design for Safety (Ref IOGP 454)
• Solid experience on developing Process Safety standards and Risk assessments for Projects (specially in Concept and early design phases)
• Process Safety Training Framework administration, updates, and improvements.
• LOPC Report control, consolidation, and analysis of Lagging KPIs.
• Barriers Management: setting and supporting initiatives to improve the healthy, visibility, decision making conditions and resource allocation related to Process Safety Barriers.
• Interface with Senior Leaders, preparing and conducting PSM critical analysis.
• Support on Risk Assessment process: Tools definitions, developments, assessments.
• Support on LOPC Classification and Investigations.
• Support the development of PSM related Digital Tools.
• Act as Internal Auditor for Corporate PSM Processes and Procedures company wide.

REQUIREMENTS

SBM Offshore is looking for applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field) with relevant experience in O&G, Petrochemical or Chemical Industry. Previous experience on Process Engineering or Process Safety Engineering is required.

Furthermore, you are, or you have:

• Solid Process Engineering and/or Process Safety background
• Curiosity – Eager for learning, self development and sharing knowledge
• Role Modelling – Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Challenge the process – Innovative and collaborative nature.
• Drive sustainable performance & results – Leadership skills, initiative, and proactive behavior
• Stakeholders inclusion – Flexible and adaptable to balance different Stakeholders
• Fluent in English (both written and verbally) and a strong communicator in developing presentations and training materials for both internal and external audiences
• Willingness to travel as international business travels may be required
