Job Description
The SmartPlant P&ID Administrator is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the Smartplant P&ID database to the projects defined specification throughout the life of the project through to database handover to the client. The Administrator is also responsible for defining application improvements and integration with other SmartPlant applications to provide benefits to project execution.
Responsibilities
Be the Smartplant P&ID Administrator representative for the application across a number of projects. For the assigned scope configure the Smartplant P&ID database and release to the project to schedule and in accordance with the client specifications. Provide continued support to the project through execution to project handover.
Customisation of the SPIDD database to clients’ specifications;
First point of contact for all technical and drafting queries from the project team;
Provide the interface between project team and ict to resolve any it related issues;
Attend meetings regarding SPPID database configuration and implementation;
Document all requested reference data changes;
Run maintenance utilities to ensure the SPPID database runs efficiently;
Produce designer instructions to support technical queries and workflow changes;
Produce designer SPIDD quality compliance checklist;
Document any infrastructure issues and submit to ICT for resolution;
Develop line lists on EPC projects as agreed with the project
Configure SPIDD validation reports in accordance with project and department requirements;
Run validation reports and use as a mechanism to monitor production data;
Carry out spot checks to support on-going validation integrity.
Run constraint reports and other utilities on the SPIDD database;
Resolve issues/errors identified;
Inform ICT once all tasks are complete.
Maintain lessons learnt and identify improvements to the way the application is configured and used to provide benefits to project execution;
Develop methods to transfer SPPID data to other Smartplant applications to provide benefits to project execution, using application tools and utilities for data export;
Define data exchange methods between Smartplant applications which require ICT programming to provide benefits to project execution;
Attend application conferences and forums and feedback any developments that may provide benefits to project execution;
Has a good understanding Microsoft Visual Basic for applications and configuration of reports.

Qualifications
Intergraph training on configuring, customisation of the database and creation of P&IDS (essential).
Intergraph training on automation (awareness).
Competent at Microsoft Visual Basic (essential).
