Design Manager

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for Embedded Software Architect to join our development team. In this position, you will be working with global teams to achieve sustainable software architecture in complex embedded system environment. This position is Senior Principal Engineer level. Tasks include hands on development, working with different domain specialists such as control electronics designers, system architects along with development teams to define and implement required functionality of different drive products. You will actively work with variable frequency drives, fieldbus- and functional safety systems and cyber security topics. The position is located at Drive Products division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. You will be working in a global software development organization of over 100 developers and testers. You will be mainly accountable for: • Acting as coach and mentor to developers in various global teams to advocate good architectural culture • Provide architectural view for teams regarding proper software design in embedded systems • Collaborate with development, testing and other architects to build and maintain holistic and maintainable software system

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• Proven track record in systematic working methods, including agile methods and supporting agile teams
• Experience working with complex embedded systems, including multi-processor systems, communications and FPGA devices.
• Expert level skills with C/C++, build tooling and common supporting languages such as Python
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Robot Framework, Ansible, Azure DevOps
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
• Fluent English
