Honeywell Buildings Technologies (HBT) is looking for a talented Embedded Systems Engineer who will develop embedded software for Fire Alarm Systems and devices, in different software layers, from firmware to embedded applications as well as develop tools for internal use. You will participate in design process, test and evaluate prototypes from initial engineering samples to mass production. Also, you will aid in the design and development of devices and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell’s customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded systems

· Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production

· Communicate effectively and collaborate with global teams for embedded systems design and development

· Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of embedded systems resources

· Integrate and validate firmware for new product designs

· Assess third party software

You must have

· Bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or relevant work experience

· A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in embedded systems development in a multi-disciplinary system that includes hardware, firmware, software and communication protocols (wired or wireless)

· Hands-on coding and debugging experience in C language for firmware development involving embedded systems

· Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Strong sense of ownership and drive; someone who is self-motivated and can work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done

· Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, coupled with the drive to learn

· Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English

We value

· Experience working with ARM, AVR, etc architectures is a plus.

· Experience working with ARM cortex M4/M7/A9 is a plus.

· Experience working with SOC or multi-processor SOC architectures is a strong plus.
