JOB DESCRIPTION

The Foxboro division, where this position will take place, specializes in the automation and control of industrial manufacturing and processes. It has many customers in the following industries: nuclear energy, liquefied natural gas, mining, metals, chemicals and petrochemicals, pulp and paper.

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused automation, team-oriented person.The candidate will work under the supervision of engineers, as part of an automation project for a security system. During the internship, the person will participate in the development and execution of tests to verify the operation of the automated system.

What will you do?

• Implement test plans and tests based on the development team’s specifications.
• Develop software test environments in PLCs.
• Performing various types of hardware tests on PLCs and related components.
• Performing various types of software tests on PLCs.
• Identify, analyze, and document software defects.
• Produce reports on test results.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Currently studying Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering at internship level S-2 or S-3.
• The person must have an interest in automation systems such as: HMI and PLC.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel tools.
• Have an aptitude for rigor and meticulousness at work.
• Experience in process automation using PLC is an asset.
• Experience with Schneider-Electric Modicon products is an asset.
• Experience in programming PLCs in the form of functional block diagrams is an asset.
• The person must have an interest in safety systems (avionics, rail, nuclear, medical).
• Functional knowledge of French and English to facilitate collaboration with our teams, clients and stakeholders at the provincial and international levels
