JOB DESCRIPTION
The Foxboro division, where this position will take place, specializes in the automation and control of industrial manufacturing and processes. It has many customers in the following industries: nuclear energy, liquefied natural gas, mining, metals, chemicals and petrochemicals, pulp and paper.
We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused automation, team oriented person. The candidate will work under the supervision of engineers on automation solutions projects for our industrial customers.
What will you do?
• Participate in development of automation solutions for our industrial customers using standard Schneider Electric products. (Mainly Foxboro, Triconex, Modicon and Aveva)
• Participate in preparation and verification of engineering documents. (Design documents, User Guide, Test documents).
• Analyze and solves technical problems related to technologies or specific customer requirements.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
• Currently studying Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering at internship level S-2 or S-3
• Experience in process automation using DCS and PLC is an asset
• Experience with Aveva products (Wonderware HMI, Historian) is an asset.
• An interest in automation systems such as: HMI, DCS and PLC.
• Comprehensive experience in architecting, constructing, and integrating applications and information systems for process automation and industrial manufacturing.
Additional Required Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and working with customers in a distributed team environment
• Functional knowledge of French and English to facilitate collaboration with our teams, clients and stakeholders at the provincial and international levels
