Position Overview
As an Apprentice Controls Engineer, you will work closely with seasoned professionals to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining building control systems. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity for growth, mentorship, and the development of technical expertise within the Honeywell ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learn and assist in the design and implementation of Honeywell building control systems.
• Support system integration, testing, and commissioning activities under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with the project team to understand customer requirements and contribute to system solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and providing technical support for control systems during installation and post-installation phases.
• Gain proficiency in ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation related to control system designs and configurations.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and contribute ideas for enhancements or upgrades to existing systems.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated interest in controls engineering, building automation, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, DDC (Direct Digital Control), and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) concepts would be desirable.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies in building controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members, mentors, and project stakeholders.
• 6, Maths GCSE – B (5) English – C (4)
