This role, will report directly to the Outage Services Director and interface with the station’s Senior Leadership Team, which includes maintenance, projects, radiation protection, security, and other support organizations. Will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of GEH’s services and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Outage Services Director for GE Hitachi.
• Lead and interface with on-site work groups including Undervessel, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), Refueling Floor, and Inspections.
• Direct responsibility for day-to-day operations at the assigned site, ensuring alignment with GEH service agreements and site requirements.
• Act as the primary interface with the station management staff daily, fostering strong working relationships.
• Integrate the services team effectively during site execution, coordinating with various departments to streamline operations.
• Integrate GEH field services best practices and commercial opportunities across both Outage & Inspections services.
• Interface and hold scheduled meetings with the Site VP and/or Plant Manager to discuss project status, issues, and strategies.
• Take ownership of the site Safety Program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in safety practices and operational procedures.
• Continuously identify cost reduction measures and optimize resource allocation to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor and manage project budgets and financial performance in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of GEH Services contracted work scope at the site.
• Handle contract language, commercial contracts, and negotiations, engaging in face-to-face meetings with customers as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 7 years of experience in the nuclear maintenance management.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of detailed planning and scheduling experience related to BWR plant outages.
• Minimum of 3 years in both BWR & PWR dry cask and spent fuel pool cleanup campaigns.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with contract language, commercial contracts, negotiations, and face-to-face customer meetings.
• Strong technical knowledge of major component replacements, work processes, and equipment utilized in the nuclear industry.
• Demonstrated experience with nuclear site operations, including familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively and achieving results.
• Ability to build and maintain strong networks within the organization and with external stakeholders.
• This position is remote home based with relocation assistance provided if moving within 50 miles of GEH Wilmington headquarters.
• This position requires travel to customer sites consisting of no more than 3 outages per year.

• Ability and willingness to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain and maintain unescorted access and US and International Nuclear Plant Sites
• Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas
• Ability and willingness to work 12 hours a day, 7 days per week when delivering field projects.

Desired Qualifications:

• PWR Maintenance Experience
• PMP/CAPM Qualifications
• Certified Fuel Mover BWR
• Certified MCO/FHS PWR

• Demonstrated experience with nuclear site operations, including familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively and achieving results.

• Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt
• Commercial Experience / Proposal Development and Cost Estimating
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant refueling, maintenance, inspection and under vessel activities
• Knowledge of both BWR and PWR vessels and components, Nuclear Steam Safety System (NSSS) and Containment Buildings
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent computer skills, and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software as well as enterprise systems such as P6, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
• Open communication style and proven ability to develop team relationships, including vendors and global teams
• Ability to manage effectively through high stress conditions
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of outputs
