Senior DevOps Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

We are looking for a technology driven Cloud Operations Engineer to join our DigitalPlatformteam to help build & deploy distributed cloud application that consists of a set of complex micro-service-architecture based backend services.

Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of deploying &monitoringthe performance and availability of the cloud services, as well as responding to time-critical incidents and identifying & resolving issues (including security).

You will need to work with the team to deliver a robust infrastructure and ensure that these services are wellutilizedby various internal and external applications. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design & development withhigh levelsof quality & reliability isessential.

Responsibilities & duties:

• Configure, deploy, manage, andmaintainlarge-scale enterprise cloud environment on Azure platform
• Create tools, automation scripts, and streamlined processes to ensure rapid deployment of cloud services
• Proactively look at ways to improve security, scalability, product availability & robustness
• Work with customer support teams to ensure quick resolution of incidents & issues
• Creation of documentation and policies to deploy & manage services
• Proposal and Creation of Dynatrace dashboards for development team to easily debug production issues

Qualifications – External

Essentials:

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Minimum 2 years experience in Terraform Scripting isa must.
• Experience in installing, configuring, deploying,maintaining& optimizing Azure cloud-based servers and services for high availability, scalability, fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
• Experience in configuring health monitoring and alerts for apps, pipelines,infrastructureand services.
• Microsoft Azure Certification (MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or MCSE Core Infrastructure)
• Hands-on experience using the Azure administration portal
• Experience with Container Orchestration Platforms (preferably Azure Kubernetes Services)
• Proficient in creating tools, scripts, and automation (preferably in Python)
• Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a technical support / network support role
• Strong DevOps mentality
• Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols,e.g.HTTP, REST APIs, with clear understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience of creating networking strategies withVNets, VPN gateways, Firewalls
• Experience in of working in an Agile Team Environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of rich experience in areas mentioned above
• Industry recognized DevOps certification during the career.

• A successful candidate will be expected to work in a flat organizational structure.
• Working with fellow front end and back end development team while talking their language is very important for the specialist.
• In direct day to day working person will be interacting with team architects, technical managers, business leaders, development and verification team .

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (Masters level preferred) in Computer Science/Electrical or any other engineering stream.
• Programming/Database/Tools experience in following areas:4-6 Years of Experience in SaaS , PaaS , IaaS is a big plus.Strong experience working in any scripting languageExperience working on web application deployment both micro-services and monolith environments
• Any certifications on Agile , AWS , Azure etc… will give a clear benefit to the candidate applying for the position.
