THIS POSITION REPORTS TO

Head of Engineering

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of automation engineers in the mining and minerals processing industries, providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team, and developing their skills and knowledge. You will lead and motivate a team of experienced professionals, who are working for automation projects around the world. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Industries division in Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for: • Allocate resources and plan for the engineering team, ensuring they are well-equipped. Additionally, provide input on budgeting for the engineering cost center, resource planning, and performance management for the team. • Improve project efficiency and quality using new tools and AI, and optimize internal processes. • Propose new value-added solutions for customers in the Mining and Cement industry. • Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

• 5+ years of experience in the field of automation solutions, working as senior project engineer or project lead engineer.
• Sound knowledge in industrial process automation, control systems (DCS, PCS), application control concepts (PLC), redundant communication networks, and fieldbus protocols. Additionally, knowledge in cybersecurity, electrical integration with IEC61850, and energy management is a plus.
• Experience in the EPCM business is a plus.
• A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about innovative technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• A MSc or bachelor’s degree in engineering with focus on automation.
• Fluency in English, other languages are a plus.
