Software Engineer for Space projects – C, C++

We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our Space team in Brno. As a member of cross-functional team, you will work on early stage of technology development, from initial concepts up to flight worthy hardware demonstrated by analyses and testing in relevant environment. Your role assumes execution the engineering tasks of various projects from the field of electro-mechanical actuation for application in space domains.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in project planning phase, provide estimates and report status
• Perform embedded / application software (e.g. C, C++, C#, MATLAB) requirements and architecture modification / creation, code modification / creation (includes debugging and troubleshooting), test cases, procedures, and scripts modification / creation and execution (both informal and formal runs), documentation creation, certification support
• Ensure assigned technical tasks are completed on-time and within given requirements.
• Actively identify new technological opportunities that will help achieve incremental or step.

Key skills and qualifications

• University degree in engineering field
• Experience with embedded / application software development in one of the following technologies: C, C++, C#, Matlab, knowledge of software development processes and best practices
• Excellent command of English language
• Knowledge of any of the below is a huge advantage: project planning and effort estimation,commercial aerospace or ESA ECSS standards, software design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python), software configuration management tools (e.g. ClearCase, SVN, Git), requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS), change management tools (e.g. ClearQuest), test management tools (e.g. TestLink) is a plus
