Responsibilities
Support Project Shutdown Organization to prepare, plan, organize, and execute safely shutdown activities.
Assist as required in tracking shutdown preparation status, identifying and addressing any issues, concerns or delays. Ensure any impact to budgets, schedules, quality control, and safety are highlighted and reported to line management.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and suppliers, to resolve any shutdown-related issues, supporting technical survey requests.
Support any required design, technical and implementation meetings. HAZIDs, HAZOPs, KO Meetings as required.
Review technical/engineering documentation to highlight shutdown scope, ensuring alignment with field operations through lifecycle of project implementation to ensure alignment, assurance, mitigation and risks are appropriately managed.
Responsible for discipline specific scope, however, required to support other disciplines as per project requirements.
Work closely with shutdown organization to deliver milestones, scope, plan and ensure a robust technical evaluation of shutdown implementation. Ensuring coherent workpacks, work breakdown structure and manhours are understood.
Support with selection and qualification of any required vendors/contractors to support delivery of the shutdown. Ensuring alignment to project goals, targets and KPIs.
Alignment with scope, materials, plant and equipment, supporting requirements and budgets required for preparation and implementation.
Determine the limits of system handover for defined discipline, ensuring clear scope boundaries for preparation, execution, completions and commissioning – with clear roles and responsibilities.
Directly supervise nominated contractors and vendors during pre and execution phase of the shutdown.
Support in reviewing and evaluating contractor performance and providing feedback for continuous improvement, whilst checking for consistency in the technical information provided by the Contractor
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Instrument engineering, construction management or a related field. Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry with significant experience in construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple interfaces effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
Team player with ability to work cross functionally with complex project teams and act as an interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.
Excellent knowledge of English language (Oral and written).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office and business applications.
