In this role, you will take charge of advancing the development and design of the next generation of collaborative industrial robot manipulators in partnership with global teams. As a (Senior) Simulation Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting state-of-the-art technological solutions and ensuring their seamless integration into the latest robotic products. You will be based in Gilching (near Munich), a city renowned as a hub for business and innovation, where you will pioneer leading-edge products, including next-generation industrial robots – collaborative robots. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the dimensioning of new manipulators
• Spearhead dynamic simulations and Finite Element Analysis (FEM) to enhance the design and performance of robot manipulators
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to elevate the development of mechanical links, drives, and intelligent components
• Drive continuous enhancement of simulation methodologies and software tools
• Contribute significantly to the design and development of robotic actuators and their seamless integration into the larger system
• Collaborate closely with international teams to ensure harmonious coordination of software and hardware components
• Engage in technical discourse, offering insights into robotic kinematics and dynamics
• Shoulder responsibility for specific areas of expertise and collaborate on holistic system integration efforts

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Possession of a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in dynamic simulations, Finite Element Analysis, and mechanical design within the realm of collaborative robotics or related domains
• Proficiency in employing tools such as SolidWorks and a firm grasp of innovative mechatronic technologies
• Expertise in designing and analyzing robotic actuator systems, with deep insights into their kinematics and dynamics
• An active and collaborative mindset, adept at both independent work and participation within a nimble, high-velocity team
• Adaptability under pressure and an inclination to contribute to the evolution of the team
• Fluent English communication skills and proficiency in the German language
