JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
GE Vernova Bangor is seeking a B Shift (3:30 PM- 2:00AM) Manufacturing Engineer for our Airfoil Shop. Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Roles and Responsibilities
• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills.
• Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
• Support New Product Introduction.
• Support CNC processes.
Required Qualifications
• Completed Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Engineering degree in progress with a completion date of either Dec. 2024 or by Spring of 2025 at latest from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in machine reliability analysis.

• Ability and willingness to work the Off-Shift- 2nd Shift-B Shift (3:30 PM- 2:00AM) Mon-Fri.

Desired Characteristics
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with NC Programming/CAM.
• Experience operating various machines and NC controls.
• High attention to detail and organization.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Basic project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
The base pay range for this position is $65,600- $79,000.The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5%performance bonus/variable incentivecompensation/equity.
*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
