Instrumentation, Controls and EX Equipment Engineer

Wood is currently looking for Instrumentation Controls and EX Equipment Engineer to support our team in Iraq/Basra on a daily Basis 5/2  ,Iraq Nationals are encouraged to apply, Basra residency card is required

Under general supervision, to perform skilled work in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting on plant equipment in the field ensuring maintenance activities performed are integrated in accordance with the production unit asset leadership plans.
Advise Section heads of any issues and risks on plants in the field with regards to electrical equipment condition and future maintenance issue with respect to operational and long-term spares.
Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs. 
Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation, flow, temperature pressure, control valve etc.
Trouble shoot and maintenance, trouble shooting on F&G devices and systems.
Experience in Cathodic protection systems.
Knowledge of Fiber optic systems
Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain Instrumentation 
Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work. 
Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Use hand and power tools related to instrumentation
Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels. 
Interpret and/or modify PLC control logic as necessary, experience with Delta V and Alan Bradley equipment.
Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls
Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications
Design layout work on panels, set up complex control systems, interpret and alter engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. 
Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including controllers, meters, analyzers, and panels. 
Experience with Fiscal metering and proving units
Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning (installation and calibration) of the Plant (during installation and start-up of the Plant)
Communicate problems and solutions to resolve instrumentation problems. 
Supervise and participate in the on-the-job training of Utility Maintenance Person as needed
Use computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information
Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety procedures 
Assist in maintenance projects providing contractor supervision
Have knowledge and experience in EX certified equipment installation and maintenance
Observe safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others
Perform other duties as required



10  years plus experience in Maintenance Operations – required
5-10 years Experienced in maintenance and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / control systems
5 years previous key  position within an operating oil or gas field – required
Postsecondary education or trade certificate  – required
ATEX certified qualification
Excellent communications (oral & written) in English ExxonMobil level 7 or higher
Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
Previously worked in a key leadership position
Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities
Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills
