TheEcoStruxure Platform Operations (Ops)team is managing the Cloud Infrastructure including Technical, Security and Financial Operations as well as Azure Infrastructure management, DevOps foundations, Observability, Container platforms lifecycle and 24×7 Support for the whole organization based on Azure cloud, Azure Kubernetes Services, Docker, Open Telemetry and other technologies.
The team operates as an agile organization, focused on efficiency, collaboration and innovation.
All services, offers, technological platforms, are hosted and operated in public cloud environments (Azure), and make an extensive use not only of IaaS services but also of PaaS/SaaS services.
Mission
Schneider Electric is undergoing a global cloud transformation program, spanning 160 countries in all five continents. The cloud transformation program, driven by mass migrations and application optimizations aims to transform Schneider Electric’s business and IT capabilities with the help of cloud technology.
To support this program, a central platform has been mounted on top of Azure called the Landing Zone so that Schneider Electric governance is enforced on all resources deployed on the cloud. A product team has been formed to manage governance as a product so that this Azure Landing Zone can be adapted dynamically to address some new business cases, adjust to evolutions made in Schneider Electric policies, certify new Azure Services.
This Azure Landing Zone platform is also providing connectivity from corporate network to resources deployed in Azure through a hub and spoke topology network. Therefore, networking is a significant dimension in the perimeter to operate.
We are looking for a senior DevOps Infrastructure Leader who will be responsible for delivering and operating the Landing Zone platform working closely with the network and infrastructure teams of Enterprise IT. You will be part of the global Landing Zone platform team and ensure that customer requirements and operational improvements are implemented in the platform on a continuous basis.
Key responsibilities
• Work with the Landing Zone architects to design new features
• As Tech lead, support the technical skills ramp-up of the team members and will help ensure consistency & quality of deliverables from the team
• Help remove technical blockers and provide technical guidance to team members
• Work closely with the Network and Security teams to ensure consistent design and implementation of Schneider cybersecurity & network security principles
• Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies and implement new requirements from the backlog
• Provide guidance to Application Architects and/or Product Development Teams through consulting activities & upgrade implementations and automation
• Consolidate & continuously update documentation/wiki & how-to guides
Technical & Soft skills
The candidate is expected to have the following skills and experience:
• Hands-on experience in implementing and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure & governance (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Strong experience in provisioning, configuring and deploying Azure infrastructure, Azure policies, creating CI/CD pipelines, release management and IaC
• Expert level knowledge of Azure Cloud including:Good cloud networking knowledge covering macro and micro-segmentation,Virtual Networks/VPCs, sub-netting, route tables, VPN, ExpressRoute/DirectConnect, ExpressRoute, IPsecGood network services knowledge: DHCP, DNS, AWS Route53/ Azure PrivateDNS zones, NTP, Azure Traffic ManagerStrong, working knowledge of Configuration and Infrastructure as CodeconceptsAuthentication, Directory Services, LDAP and IAM: Microsoft Active Directory,Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Certificate Services, PKI, Single Sign-On, AWSIAM.Good cloud and on-premise compute and app service knowledge coveringAzure VMs, Azure Container Services, Azure Availability Sets, API Managemento Good cloud storage knowledge covering Azure Storage Accounts, AzureBlobs, Azure FilesGood cloud messaging knowledge covering Azure Notification Hub, AzureEventGrid, Azure ServiceBus, Azure EventHub, IoT Hub
• Knowledge of tools: JIRA, Confluence, Github, AzDO, Sharepoint
• Knowledge of agile development practices (SCRUM, SAFe)

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated

Qualifications
The candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
• 8+ years’ experience as an Azure DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer
• 5+ years’ experience engineering/operating IT Infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure
• Experience as a Technical Lead for a team
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Associate or Expert Level certification in Microsoft Azure such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ500, AZ-400, SC-200, SC-300
• Agile certification from SAFe and/or SCRUM
