As an AMR Navigation Engineer, you will solve mobile robotics development challenges that are the foundation for the next industrial revolution. You will work in international teams to push our organization to the next level and deliver complex technical and safe solutions to our customers. You will be based in Burgos (Spain), a city known as the European capital of mobile robotics, where you will be the nerve center for the innovation of new AMR technologies, and you will develop cutting-edge products and safety concepts, such as new generation mobile industrial robots. R&D Team Lead

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects, requiring only limited supervision.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency in AMR Navigation and Control methodologies and techniques, and embraces best practices.
• Performs a variety of tasks in the assigned area (e.g. AMR Navigation, AMR motion control..), from concepts and requirements through design, implementation, integration, and testing, to technology transfer or maintenance and operations.
• Demonstrates the ability to independently recognize problems and provide input to solutions.
• Stay abreast of the state of the art (industry/academia) in own competence area as well as new and evolving technologies.
• Actively applies this knowledge and goes beyond as required.
• Understands the key drivers for ABB in own business/technology area to make judgments and contribute to results.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical and Computer Engineer, Mechanical Engineer.
• Recommended experience in the AMR sector.
• Recommended Master degree in Robotics or Control.
• Programming languages, Python, C++, C#.
• PLC programing (Codesys, Step 7, iec 1131) is a plus.
• Knowledge in: ROS, Matlab.
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
• Knowledge of AMR Navigation and control methodologies and techniques.
• Demonstrated knowledge In Agile Software projects techniques.
• Spanish and English languages (required).
