Advanced Systems Engr

The Advanced Electromechanical Systems (AES) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization has an immediate need for an Advanced Control Systems Engineer to work on various Air Transport, Regional, Business and Military aircraft. This position reports to the ECS Control Systems Integration / Dynamic Analysis Sr. Manager.The selected individual will be responsible for applying technical systems engineering principles to all aspects of control system definition, design and integration in support of successful implementation and certification of ECS systems (Bleed Air, Air Conditioning, Vapor Cycle, etc.). This role includes interfacing within and across multiple Honeywell sites.Primary Responsibilities Include:

•System Requirements definition and validation analysis including architecture, functionality and dynamic performance for the Control System.
•Hardware and Software requirements definition and analysis including key characteristics and performance aspects, electrical and data bus interfaces
•Development process coordination and handoffs between internal and external stakeholders, communication with chief engineering and technical management.
•Cost Account Manager responsibilities to track schedule, budget and earned value for the Controls Integration work package.
•System Integration Test Support including facility architecture and requirements, test plans/procedures, test execution support and results review.
•Control System Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Analysis involving issue troubleshooting at the aircraft or system level and definition of robust solutions to identified test problems.ECS Control Systems Engineer25% System Requirements Analysis15% HW/SW Requirements Analysis20% Process Coordination / Handoffs40% Integration Test Support / RCCAYOU MUST HAVE
•Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
•5+ years of aerospace systems, control development or hardware / software experienceWE VALUE
•Technical excellence and leadership. Proven track record of ability to produce robust technical solutions and achieve milestones on time and within budget.
•Systems engineering technical process knowledge (requirements validation and decomposition, ARP4754A or equivalent)
•Technical experience in control system design (closed loop control, logic definition)
•Experience with air and thermal systems (pressure and flow management, heat transfer, reverse Brayton cycle)
•Familiarity with DOORS, DOORS NG and IBM ELM
•Experience with Agile Development processes in Aerospace
•Experience with MBSE/SysML
•Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to learn quickly and adapt to an environment with dynamic process and program needs
