Advanced Field Project Engineer – Industrial Automation & Control Systems

For our Honeywell Process Solution (HPS) organization in Asker Norway, we are currently looking for an Advanced Project Engineer who will be responsible for following up projects with our upstream customers in the early phases. The position will work closely with the customers project organizations and be the link to the Honeywell team of engineers that will deliver the projects.

Key responsibilities

• Actively participate in pre-project activities, evaluating ideas, design and solutions for upcoming projects that consists of installation / configuration / implementation & commissioning of Honeywell’s product range, including Industrial Safety & Automation System (SAS), HMI and SCADA
• Represent Honeywell in all customer interactions according to Honeywell values.
• Follow and observe all Honeywell and customer safety regulations and requirements.
• Understand project life cycle from specifications to delivery.
• Help the local Honeywell team to plan for upgrades, modifications, and projects, on process/off process. Implement online system changes to live plant without compromising process safety and operation.
• Be a part of the team that helps customers with the digitalization of their facilities.
• Dedicatedly seek to establish opportunities for the advancement of product applications to improve the customer process.
• Coordinate activities with Honeywell Project- and Performance managers and Service Operation Leader.

Key skills and qualifications

• Master’s degree in electronics, automation, cybernetics or Bachelor’s degree together with long and relevant experience with the Norwegian Upstream Customers.
• Minimum 8-10 years experience in a similar role – Control & Safety systems and SCADA within different process industries (Energy / chemicals / P&P / etc.).
• Fluent Norwegian and English language. Any other Scandinavian language may also be considered if not fluent in Norwegian.
• Travelling between Asker and the west cost of Norway will be expected on a regular basis, including sporadic offshore tasks.
